VERONIKI III is a veteran Greek LPG carrier built in Japan in 1984. Originally delivered as HAKUSEI MARU NO.65, she later became BERKAH SELATAN before being acquired by Greek interests in 2005 and renamed VERONIKI III. More than four decades after construction, she remains active in 2026, trading almost entirely within Greece and regularly serving Aspropyrgos, Elefsis, Crete and the wider Piraeus area.
The ship is unusually small by modern LPG-carrier standards, measuring only about 51.4 metres in length with a deadweight of 482 tonnes. Her compact dimensions make her well suited to domestic LPG distribution between mainland terminals and regional ports. Current AIS data still records her under the Greek flag, MMSI 240388000 and call sign SY6044.

From HAKUSEI MARU NO.65 to VERONIKI III
The vessel began her career in 1984 as HAKUSEI MARU NO.65 in Japan. She later moved to Indonesian ownership and became BERKAH SELATAN. VesselFinder records the BERKAH SELATAN identity until June 2005, when the ship transferred to the Greek flag and became VERONIKI III.

Greek maritime records from 2011 already described VERONIKI III as belonging to Veronaus Shipping since 2005 and associated the vessel with Petrogaz's LPG operations. Veronaus itself is listed as a Greek ship owner/manager, and its public company contact uses a petrogaz.gr email address, reinforcing that relationship.

Still Active in 2026
The most remarkable aspect of VERONIKI III today is her longevity. Built in 1984, she is now more than 42 years old and is still engaged in normal commercial service.
Current 2026 AIS records show regular short voyages between Elefsis and Aspropyrgos, while more recent tracking also records calls at Linoperamata and Chania. As of September 2026, current AIS information continued to place the vessel in the Elefsis/Aspropyrgos trading area.
Piraeus Connection
VERONIKI III has an especially strong connection with the wider Piraeus industrial and ship-repair area.
She has been repeatedly photographed at Perama, including on 6 July 2015, 16 March 2019 and 26 February 2020. She was also recorded near Faneromeni, Salamina in April 2022, bound for Elefsis.
Her Greek home port is listed as Piraeus, while Veronaus Shipping's LPG activities centre on the Attica refinery and storage area around Aspropyrgos and Elefsis.
