HYPERSPEED JET 4 is a Greek high-speed passenger and vehicle catamaran operated by Seajets. The vessel is one of the best-known large fast ferries in Greek coastal shipping, having spent the first 26 years of her career under the name HIGHSPEED 4. Built by Austal in Australia in 2000, she was originally delivered to Minoan Flying Dolphins and later became a long-serving member of the Hellenic Seaways fleet before her transfer to Seajets in 2026.
The transfer formed part of Attica Group’s 2026 fleet-renewal programme. HIGHSPEED 4 was sold together with FLYINGCAT 3, FLYINGCAT 4, FLYINGCAT 5 and FLYINGCAT 6 in an en-bloc transaction worth €25 million. Following the sale, the vessel underwent refit and repainting work and was renamed HYPERSPEED JET 4.
Her first commercial service for Seajets took place on 28 May 2026, when HYPERSPEED JET 4 entered service from Piraeus on the Piraeus–Paros–Naxos–Koufonissi–Amorgos route. During the summer she continued operating from Piraeus on Cycladic routes, and AIS records at the end of August showed regular calls at Piraeus, Serifos, Sifnos and Milos.

History
The vessel was delivered in July 2000 as HIGHSPEED 4 to Minoan Flying Dolphins and entered service in the Aegean shortly afterwards. Austal described her at the time as a 92-metre Auto Express fast ferry designed specifically for Greek island operations, carrying 1,050 passengers and 188 cars. Her initial service included intensive rotations between Piraeus, Paros and Naxos.
Through the successive corporate changes from Minoan Flying Dolphins to Hellas Flying Dolphins and eventually Hellenic Seaways, the vessel retained the HIGHSPEED 4 name and became closely associated with high-speed services from Piraeus to the Cyclades. She remained under that identity until 2026.
In March 2026, Attica Group agreed to sell HIGHSPEED 4 and four Flyingcats to Seajets. After refit work and a change to Seajets colours, the vessel emerged as HYPERSPEED JET 4, beginning a new chapter while remaining based largely around the same Piraeus–Cyclades market in which she had operated since delivery.

The vessel’s connection with Piraeus stretches back to the beginning of her career. Austal recorded HIGHSPEED 4 operating from Piraeus immediately after delivery in 2000, and she remained a regular presence at the port for more than two decades.
Her first appearance at Piraeus under the new HYPERSPEED JET 4 identity took place on 28 May 2026, marking her return to the port in Seajets colours after her long career with Hellenic Seaways.

HYPERSPEED JET 4 was recorded at Piraeus by PiraeuShips during her first season under Seajets ownership in 2026. The recording is particularly significant because the same vessel had been part of the Piraeus shipping scene since 2000 as HIGHSPEED 4. Her change of name and operator therefore represents a new chapter in the career of one of the most recognisable high-speed ferries associated with the port.
