NEPTUNE DYNAMIS is a Maltese-flagged Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) owned and operated within the Neptune Lines fleet. Built in Spain in 2002, she has spent her entire career under the same name and has been closely associated with the Piraeus-based Neptune Lines network. The company itself explains that the name “Dynamis” means strength and power, fitting the Greek naming tradition used across its owned fleet. Neptune Lines currently lists the vessel with capacity for 1,800 cars.
The vessel was constructed by Hijos de J. Barreras / Astillero Barreras in Vigo, Spain and measures 158.5 metres in length and about 24.4 metres in beam. She has a gross tonnage of around 21,600 GT and a deadweight of approximately 6,850 tonnes. Propulsion is provided by two Wärtsilä 8L46B main engines with a combined output of about 15,600 kW, giving a historical service speed of around 20 knots.
NEPTUNE DYNAMIS remains active in 2026. Current AIS records show the ship continuing to trade between major European vehicle-handling ports including Santander, Zeebrugge and Portbury, demonstrating the continued commercial use of the 2002-built carrier more than two decades after delivery.

History
NEPTUNE DYNAMIS was laid down in 2001, launched in April 2002 and entered service in September of the same year. Unlike many commercial vessels of similar age, she has retained the same name throughout her career, remaining under Neptune Lines-related ownership and the Maltese flag.
The vessel forms part of an older generation of relatively compact vehicle carriers in the Neptune Lines fleet. With capacity for 1,800 cars, she is considerably smaller than the company’s newest PCTCs, which now reach capacities of 5,000–6,900 vehicles, but remains useful for regional and short-sea vehicle trades where port size and frequency are important.
Piraeus Connection
NEPTUNE DYNAMIS has a particularly strong link with Piraeus. Neptune Lines Shipping & Managing Enterprises is headquartered at 5–9 Iassonos Street in Piraeus, while the ship has been repeatedly documented around the port itself. Records show her at Keratsini in 2012 and 2013, at Drapetsona Bay in June 2015, departing Drapetsona in March 2016 and arriving there again two days later.
An even earlier documented appearance shows NEPTUNE DYNAMIS departing Piraeus on 18 April 2004, only around a year and a half after entering service. This demonstrates that her association with Piraeus stretches back almost to the beginning of her career.
