JULIUS S is a German-built geared containership completed in 2004 by Volkswerft Stralsund. The vessel belongs to the VW 2500 design and has spent more than two decades in international container trades. Although she was launched under the name JULIUS S, she entered service as CMA CGM BRASILIA and kept that name until 2010, when she reverted to JULIUS S. Today she remains active under the Antigua & Barbuda flag.
The ship measures 207.39 metres in length and 29.80 metres in beam, with a deadweight of 33,742 tonnes. Her nominal container capacity is 2,474 TEU, including about 420 refrigerated-container slots, while three deck cranes give her the ability to handle containers at ports without extensive shore-side equipment. Propulsion is provided by a MAN-B&W 7L70MC low-speed diesel engine producing approximately 20,930 kW, giving a historical service speed of around 21 knots.
JULIUS S also has a documented connection with Piraeus. The vessel was photographed at Drapetsona Bay on 12 February 2017, while she also appears in the PiraeuShips archive from the same period. This places her among the medium-sized feeder and regional containerships that formed part of the regular commercial traffic around Piraeus during the 2010s.

History
The vessel was built in 2004 at Volkswerft Stralsund as yard number 452. She was launched under the JULIUS S identity but completed and entered commercial service as CMA CGM BRASILIA, operating for CMA CGM under the German flag. In October 2010 she reverted to JULIUS S, and in 2014 she transferred to the Antigua & Barbuda register.
The ship has remained commercially active into 2026. Recent AIS records show JULIUS S trading in Asian waters, while current service data identifies her in Maersk-operated intra-Asia container services.

JULIUS S was documented at Drapetsona Bay, Piraeus, in February 2017, and the vessel is already included in the PiraeuShips archive. Her Piraeus appearance records a ship that, despite having been built more than twenty years ago, continues to remain active in international container trades.
