AQUAMARINE, today sailing as SEAVEN PROGRESS, is a Greek-flagged self-discharging cement carrier that has been closely connected with Piraeus throughout her career. Built in Turkey and originally operated by Melissa Shipping, the vessel was acquired by Seaven in April 2020 and renamed SEAVEN PROGRESS. She remains active today as part of Seaven’s cement-carrier fleet.
The vessel measures 112 metres in length and 16.30 metres in beam, with a gross tonnage of 4,940 GT and deadweight of 6,375 tonnes. Seaven officially describes her as a double-hull cement carrier, classed by RINA and flying the Greek flag.
AQUAMARINE was already a familiar ship around Piraeus well before the change of ownership. She was photographed at Drapetsona in January 2014, at Piraeus again in 2018 and 2019, and later appeared under the SEAVEN PROGRESS name at Piraeus from 2020 onward.

From AQUAMARINE to SEAVEN PROGRESS
The vessel entered service as AQUAMARINE and initially operated for Melissa Shipping of Athens. Your original PiraeuShips entry from February 2017 records exactly this period, listing Melissa Shipping as owner/manager, Greek flag, ABS class and Athens as home port.
The major change came in April 2020. Seaven officially states that the vessel was delivered to its fleet on 23 April 2020. She was renamed SEAVEN PROGRESS, retaining the Greek flag, MMSI 240743000 and call sign SXWC.
Contemporary Greek maritime reporting also confirmed the acquisition, describing her as a 6,375-dwt self-discharging cement carrier that joined Seaven’s fleet in April 2020. At that time, the acquisition increased Seaven’s cement-carrier fleet to four vessels.

Current Seaven Career
SEAVEN PROGRESS remains in the official Seaven fleet in 2026. The company currently lists her as a Greek-flagged, double-hull cement carrier of 6,375 dwt, classed by RINA.
The Greek connection remains particularly strong. Recent 2026 AIS records show SEAVEN PROGRESS trading between ports including Kavala, Volos and Piraeus, and she arrived at Piraeus again on 7 September 2026.
